The audience was convinced that Santo Urbasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingo Veremundo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Feliciano Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lisandro Pello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Suero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Serengeti FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Hector Kemen hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Suero to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Potrero Futbol Club booed when Serengeti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blas Bernabel might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lisandro Pello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Serengeti FC's zone, Enrique Suero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Pello came out of the goal and Enrique Suero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the game, Bernabe Uzuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serengeti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Potrero Futbol Club the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Serengeti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Uzuri to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Dalmu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Feliciano Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Pello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
