Spectators: 7238 (Terracing: 5486, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 70) Potrero Futbol Club's Enrique Suero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Blas Bernabel rounded BAIRESLET FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. BAIRESLET FC's Amado Meder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Dalmu in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, BAIRESLET FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Suero came free, but Amado Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the BAIRESLET FC defense, Blas Bernabel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amado Meder. The BAIRESLET FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amado Meder should have stopped the shot. Feliciano Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Amado Meder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Dalmu in the 27th minute of play forced BAIRESLET FC's goalkeeper Amado Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in BAIRESLET FC's zone, Enrique Suero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Meder came out of the goal and Enrique Suero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Bernabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Meder having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Potrero Futbol Club's Blas Bernabel got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 37 minutes of play, BAIRESLET FC's Ruperto Gil made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingo Veremundo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amado Meder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Suero in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Suero in the 47th minute of play forced BAIRESLET FC's goalkeeper Amado Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Bernabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruperto Gil to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Potrero Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Xacintu to maneuver through the defense. BAIRESLET FC's Ruperto Gil got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Lander during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, BAIRESLET FC's Lorenzo Lander got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Guillermo Carlomagno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Blas Bernabel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amado Meder. BAIRESLET FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blas Bernabel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Xacintu during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of BAIRESLET FC booed when Potrero Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Xacintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Suero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the BAIRESLET FC defense, Guillermo Carlomagno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amado Meder. The BAIRESLET FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amado Meder should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Blas Bernabel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potrero Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Bernabel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Meder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Enrique Suero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Potrero Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Amado Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Suero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amado Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Suero in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Potrero Futbol Club fully deserved thier win.
