To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Henrico took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Salvatore. Omar Salvatore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A very good chance. The supporters of Rueda booed when Devoto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Rueda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After the first half Rueda were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
