The referee ignored Atlético Mermoz's protests and gave Felix Orte a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pieres booed when Atlético Mermoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Orte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeronimo Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Atlético Mermoz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
