With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Jon in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Øivind Pettersen saved Claypole from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Aureliano Miro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alonzo Leocadio. Aureliano Miro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Hernan Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Newpee's Zacarias Jon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Øivind Pettersen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Zacarias Jon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Zacarias Jon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Øivind Pettersen was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Jon in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Øivind Pettersen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Claypole getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Javier Curcio hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Benitez during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Claypole:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 43rdth minute of the game Zacarias Jon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Claypole's Øivind Pettersen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Newpee's Zacarias Jon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Øivind Pettersen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacarias Jon made a kick off. The supporters of Newpee booed when Claypole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Benitez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Øivind Pettersen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Jon in the 57th minute of the match. Newpee's Santiago Markel got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zacarias Jon in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Øivind Pettersen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Newpee's Santos Uhin got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Aureliano Miro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Leocadio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 72nd minute Zacarias Jon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Øivind Pettersen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Javier Curcio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zacarias Jon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Øivind Pettersen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Claypole defense, Zacarias Jon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Øivind Pettersen. The Claypole fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Øivind Pettersen should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Claypole's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Santiago Markel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Øivind Pettersen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Jon went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Øivind Pettersen was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Zacarias Jon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zacarias Jon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. After having played for 96 minutes, Cornelio Bero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newpee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Bero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Newpee left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Claypole.
