Ignacio Estavan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paolo Gonchan went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Bermejo's zone, Moises Viviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Jax came out of the goal and Moises Viviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute Ladislao Serapio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Fond de Cave booed when Bermejo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Chayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fond de Cave! Camilo Abilio placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 35th match minute, Fond de Cave was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Stanislao to maneuver through the defense. When Humberto Cristofol fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fond de Cave's protests and gave Humberto Cristofol a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Fond de Cave got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Cristofol. When Ladislao Serapio came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Fond de Cave fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Serapio couldn't finish the play. In the 47th match minute, Fond de Cave was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Ciano to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Isauro to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Serapio in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Jax saved Bermejo from getting behind. In the 60th play minute Paolo Gonchan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ignacio Estavan. 0-3. Carlos Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Serapio, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Fond de Cave's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Isauro came free, but Ignacio Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Chayo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Paolo Gonchan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaston Chayo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ladislao Serapio struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Carlos Jax didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fond de Cave. Paulo Isauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ignacio Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paolo Gonchan in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Estavan saved Fond de Cave from getting behind. Paolo Gonchan in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ignacio Estavan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 94 minutes into the match, Fond de Cave's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Isauro came free, but Ignacio Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
