Sergio Acarreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Oso having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Lanus AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didier Pironi to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Acarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, one of Quebrachito AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Elvio Oso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didier Pironi in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Jacobo Millano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Quebrachito AFC defense, Sergio Acarreta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Oso. The Quebrachito AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Oso should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Quebrachito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Orlanda came free, but Elvio Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Acarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacobo Millano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Oscar Suarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Elias Ponc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 48 minutes, Didier Pironi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanus AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didier Pironi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacobo Millano to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didier Pironi in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elvio Oso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Oscar Suarez managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Quebrachito AFC's Jacobo Millano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Sergio Acarreta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes into the match, Lanus AC's goalkeeper Oscar Suarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacobo Millano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Ponc during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Quebrachito AFC booed when Lanus AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Ponc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Suarez had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnaldo Favila's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 67th minute Quebrachito AFC were awarded a corner. Arnaldo Favila went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Quebrachito AFC's corner Arnaldo Favila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oscar Suarez quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sergio Acarreta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanus AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Acarreta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Oso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Oso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Acarreta in the 78th minute of the match. Jacobo Millano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Suarez having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Sergio Acarreta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Oso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Lanus AC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacobo Millano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jacobo Millano came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Suarez could save by the left post. Quebrachito AFC's Jacobo Millano got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Lanus AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 鲁朋康 to maneuver through the defense. When Sergio Acarreta came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Lanus AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Acarreta couldn't finish the play. Didier Pironi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Lanus AC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
