Didier Pironi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Illan having to interfere. Mazarredo FC's Bartolo Illan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Acarreta in the 25th minute of play. Mazarredo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Gogo Orlanda scored to the left of an out of position Bartolo Illan, making the score, 2-4. Edgard Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Lanus AC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Bartuelo came free, but Oscar Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gogo Orlanda came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Lanus AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Orlanda couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Bartolo Illan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
