Santiago Ixaka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Benedicto Karmel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benedicto Karmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Videl, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Patricio Galsino came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Lugano HRM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Galsino couldn't finish the play. After 21 minutes, Lokon Dibala made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pilar FC's Magnus Pauk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cesar Martxel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benedicto Karmel came out and tried to block the shot, but Cesar Martxel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 25th minute. Pilar FC's Santiago Ixaka was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Alonzo Galeno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lugano HRM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilar FC the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Lugano HRM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Galeno to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Benedicto Karmel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Magnus Pauk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Mikolas in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lokon Dibala came free, but Magnus Pauk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Mirande charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Mirande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pilar FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Valentin Mirande hit a great ball. Magnus Pauk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lokon Dibala in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorino Regis to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goalkeeper Magnus Pauk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Galeno. Lokon Dibala hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Ixaka in the 76th minute of play forced Lugano HRM's goalkeeper Benedicto Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Santiago Ixaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Karmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Lugano HRM's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Ixaka came free, but Benedicto Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Karmel came out of the goal and Rogelio Videl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Lugano HRM's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Martxel came free, but Benedicto Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Santiago Ixaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Karmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes Lugano HRM got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Galeno. 94 minutes into the match, Lugano HRM's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Videl came free, but Benedicto Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
