The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of SPORTIVO BRAGADO booed when Pueblo Nuevo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Paio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Geronimo Pagomari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Augusto Guillelmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Guillelmo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Pagomari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. SPORTIVO BRAGADO's Miguel Ciceron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Asier in the 18th minute of play. Miguel Ciceron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Asier in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes in the game, Osmar Araújo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. SPORTIVO BRAGADO's Jacobo Egoitz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Teodosio Berbiz in the 26 minute of the game. Jacobo Egoitz succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Damazy Kochniarczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Osmar Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Pagomari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblo Nuevo's zone, Osmar Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Pagomari came out of the goal and Osmar Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the game, Pueblo Nuevo's Ernesto Asier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Ciceron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osmar Araújo made a kick off. Augusto Guillelmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Pagomari having to interfere. Miguel Ciceron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Paio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Romeo Laurendi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gonzalo Presebal charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Presebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pueblo Nuevo's Gonzalo Presebal got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Miguel Ciceron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Paio in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Osmar Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SPORTIVO BRAGADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Pagomari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacobo Egoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Pagomari having to interfere. SPORTIVO BRAGADO's Miguel Ciceron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Paio in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO BRAGADO's Osmar Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geronimo Pagomari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Osmar Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SPORTIVO BRAGADO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osmar Araújo couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Asier's late challenge caught a SPORTIVO BRAGADO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Asier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Ernesto Asier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Pagomari having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Osmar Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Pagomari was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
