The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvestre Mederi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Basilio Erdiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Edelmiro Dantae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Deportivo Victoriano defense, Freddy Salvatore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvestre Mederi. The Deportivo Victoriano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvestre Mederi should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute Eulalio Txartiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Mederi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Danila Levashevich dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edelmiro Dantae, 2-1. In the 25th minute, Danila Levashevich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benigno Justin's late challenge caught a Tuizón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Victoriano's zone, Albano Ofelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 30 played minutes Deportivo Victoriano got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Trevisan. Nando do Vale hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Deportivo Victoriano's Gualterio Su seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gualterio Su the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Victoriano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gualterio Su had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 40th minute, one of Deportivo Victoriano:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Victoriano. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Tuizón. Jairo Nevada stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silvestre Mederi. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basilio Erdiano to strike the kick off in the second half. Ariel Goyo's late challenge caught a Tuizón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Goyo helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Miliano struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Silvestre Mederi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuizón. Ariel Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Dantae having to interfere. Silvestre Mederi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Tuizón's Albano Ofelio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Mederi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Tuizón's Edelmiro Dantae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Erdiano in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Deportivo Victoriano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Goyo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Albano Ofelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuizón's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Ofelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Mederi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tuizón eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
