Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horacio Eyague started the match with the kick off. In the 7th match minute, Ascensión was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Tulio to maneuver through the defense. Ascensión's Victorino Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Lore in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ascensión's Saturnino Sagrario got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Horacio Eyague managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogotes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Eyague was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ceferino Tibalt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Adrian Quinto made a huge save. Mogotes's Adrian Quinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Muno in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Ascensión was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Bide to maneuver through the defense. Elias Claude hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Adrian Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Muno, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Ascensión booed when Mogotes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Eyague didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ceferino Tibalt came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ascensión fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Tibalt couldn't finish the play. Ascensión's Leandro Muno got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Muno made a kick off. The supporters of Ascensión booed when Mogotes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ceferino Tibalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceferino Tibalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Quinto having to interfere. A collision led to Mogotes getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Matias Elazar hit a great ball. Mogotes's Adrian Quinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Muno in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Tibalt in the 63rd minute of play forced Mogotes's goalkeeper Adrian Quinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Muno took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Quinto. Adrian Quinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nicasio Chinto kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ascensión's zone, Virgilio Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Jerrald came out of the goal and Virgilio Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Leandro Muno notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Mogotes's Adrian Quinto. Adrian Quinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adrian Quinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Tibalt in the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ascensión's Victorino Jerrald got control of the ball when Matias Elazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ascensión had played much better football throughout.
