Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Devoto FC's Geronimo Maldonado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Geronimo Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Maldonado in the 6th minute of play. Gilberto Oto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Valiente went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jose Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Cefero in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Amistad De Barrio's goalkeeper Jose Corderun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edelmiro Porfiro. Gilberto Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Amistad De Barrio getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Fidel Gau hit a great ball. 1-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Geronimo Maldonado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Honorio Cefero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jose Corderun made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Geronimo Maldonado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jose Corderun, 2-1. Guaberto Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gilberto Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Valiente in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute Geronimo Maldonado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Amistad De Barrio's Isidoro Txurio got a free kick in the 46th minute. After 48 minutes, Fidel Gau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amistad De Barrio and the Devoto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Amistad De Barrio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Gau to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guaberto Valiente to make the kick off. Devoto FC's Gilberto Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Valiente in the 55th minute of play. Devoto FC's Geronimo Maldonado got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Devoto FC booed when Amistad De Barrio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Clemencin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Honorio Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Amistad De Barrio getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Isidoro Txurio hit a great ball. Gilberto Oto made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Guaberto Valiente sent off a good shot on target. After 74 played minutes Amistad De Barrio got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Matai. Devoto FC's Geronimo Maldonado got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 minutes, Geronimo Maldonado made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Amistad De Barrio's Jose Corderun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Devoto FC's Nemesio Leoncio got a free kick in the 80th minute. Honorio Cefero struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jose Corderun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Devoto FC. Amistad De Barrio's Fidel Gau collided with an opponent after 86 minutes. The hit was so violent that he fractured his nose and had to leave the field. Nemesio Leoncio's late challenge caught a Amistad De Barrio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Leoncio helped the player get up and apologised. Nemesio Leoncio kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Amistad De Barrio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Endura to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Maldonado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Corderun having to make a save. Jose Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Maldonado in the 96th minute of play. Honorio Cefero struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Jose Corderun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Devoto FC. Devoto FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
