Spectators: 7370 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 147) Aquilino Roldan made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience was convinced that Gaston Elizardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximo Matia was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. 9 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Charly's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Phelipe came free, but Maximo Matia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético Charly getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Samuel Cordarius hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Elizardo in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Matia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute of the match Petroquimica got a corner. Club Atlético Charly's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luo Rong ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Petroquimica's Ruben Toli getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Aquilino Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aquilino Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Matia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofilo Bernebe went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gaston Elizardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Matia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Silvano Phelipe scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximo Matia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 42 minutes Petroquimica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patricio Cucao who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Fernan Primo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Club Atlético Charly's Maximo Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Toli in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Petroquimica were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaston Elizardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvano Phelipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Charly's zone, Gaston Elizardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Matia came out of the goal and Gaston Elizardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Charly's goalkeeper Maximo Matia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Bernebe. After having played for 63 minutes, Tobias Ariando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petroquimica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Ariando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atlético Charly's Maximo Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Elizardo in the 67th minute of play. Aquilino Roldan struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Armando Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Charly. Club Atlético Charly's Maximo Matia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Charly from getting a goal against them. Maximo Matia came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Petroquimica's Gaston Elizardo. But to his dismay, Gaston Elizardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Gaston Elizardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Matia having to interfere. Gaston Elizardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Maximo Matia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute Aquilino Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
