One of Petroquimica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Villa Castells AFC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Armando Marquez, was totally fooled by Villa Castells AFC's Paolo Timo, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Timoteo Laurin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Bernebe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Nicanor Rios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Castells AFC and the Petroquimica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Villa Castells AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Rios to maneuver through the defense. Teofilo Bernebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Timoteo Laurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Emilio Nuxila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Silvano Phelipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Elizardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timoteo Laurin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaston Elizardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilio Nuxila kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Timoteo Laurin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Bernebe in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Villa Castells AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Elizardo came free, but Timoteo Laurin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If 吴强耀 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute of the match Luo Rong shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timoteo Laurin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herminio Saturnin to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaston Elizardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Timoteo Laurin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gaston Elizardo sped through Villa Castells AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Timoteo Laurin. A collision led to Petroquimica getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luo Rong hit a great ball. With his leg Timoteo Laurin managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Petroquimica's Gaston Elizardo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Elizardo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timoteo Laurin saved Villa Castells AFC from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Teofilo Bernebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaston Elizardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Timoteo Laurin made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Gaston Elizardo put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Timoteo Laurin. A collision led to Villa Castells AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Sergio Rojelio hit a great ball. Timoteo Laurin made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Luo Rong sent off a good shot on target. If Gaston Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petroquimica's Baldomero Francho got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Elizardo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timoteo Laurin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petroquimica's Teofilo Bernebe got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Petroquimica's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Saturnin came free, but Armando Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Petroquimica players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
