Spectators: 7192 (Terracing: 5489, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilberto Celio started the match with the kick off. Anselmo Argenis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Sanson having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, ALAS's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Baleren came free, but Luisito Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game Anselmo Argenis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALAS's Luisito Sanson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Anselmo Argenis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisito Sanson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Argenis in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisito Sanson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Anselmo Argenis came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the RiverPlate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Argenis couldn't finish the play. After 27 played minutes ALAS got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Celio. The supporters of ALAS booed when RiverPlate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Argenis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 played minutes RiverPlate got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Argenis. If Faustino Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Argenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Celio charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Celio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes ALAS got a freekick which was hit by Hector Gau. Paulino Benet struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Luisito Sanson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RiverPlate. With a little luck, RiverPlate's Remigio Normando got control of the ball when Angel Maidana tried to sneak it across the goal line. ALAS's Luisito Sanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Argenis in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, ALAS's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Argenis came free, but Luisito Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half RiverPlate were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Anselmo Argenis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Faustino Caetano's late challenge caught a ALAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Caetano helped the player get up and apologised. Faustino Caetano hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Atilano Roldanillo fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALAS's protests and gave Atilano Roldanillo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ALAS's Atilano Roldanillo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Anselmo Argenis had several of the ALAS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Luisito Sanson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 72 played minutes RiverPlate got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Caetano. If Anselmo Argenis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Argenis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luisito Sanson. That made the score 0-4 in the 81 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Faustino Caetano took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Luisito Sanson to make any attempt to save it. 96 minutes into the match, ALAS's goalkeeper Luisito Sanson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Argenis. When the final whistle sounded RiverPlate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ALAS.
