Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ciriaco Chap, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 36 minutes, Epifanio Tome managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kiricocho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Tome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by RiverPlate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santo Gelmiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Kiricocho FC's players had a chance to rest. RiverPlate's Remigio Normando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Gurutz in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Enrique Gurutz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kiricocho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Gurutz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Normando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Gurutz made a kick off. Oscar Roano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Argenis in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Chap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeo Paublo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Anselmo Argenis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Argenis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Chap having to interfere. Ciriaco Chap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Caetano in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Anselmo Argenis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RiverPlate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Argenis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to RiverPlate getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Oscar Roano hit a great ball. Enrique Gurutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Remigio Normando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Chap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Argenis in the 79th minute of the match. Anselmo Argenis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Remigio Normando made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Enrique Gurutz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Kiricocho FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Nicanor Aritza hit a great ball. When RiverPlate's Anselmo Argenis in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After taking down the ball on Kiricocho FC's corner Santo Gelmiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remigio Normando quite easily take care of the ball. Oscar Roano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Chap having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. RiverPlate had won after a very even match.
