Oscar Roano hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Faustino Caetano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Remigio Normando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Casomiro in the 25th minute. Leo Gitano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Casomiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Remigio Normando made a huge save. Remigio Normando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Gitano in the 36th minute of the match. Fabricio Arano hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Abel Casomiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remigio Normando made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Leo Gitano sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Leo Gitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Normando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Victorino Garaile kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 56 minutes, Abel Casomiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita jrs and the RiverPlate players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of RiverPlate booed when Chacarita jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Casomiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Gitano in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Normando saved RiverPlate from getting behind. Paulino Benet's late challenge caught a Chacarita jrs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Benet helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to RiverPlate getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Paulino Benet hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Casomiro in the 71st minute of play forced RiverPlate's goalkeeper Remigio Normando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Normando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Casomiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Chacarita jrs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Casomiro in the 78th minute. After taking down the ball on Chacarita jrs's corner Abel Casomiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remigio Normando quite easily take care of the ball. In the 79th minute, Leo Gitano made a precise shot to the right of Remigio Normando. RiverPlate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Chacarita jrs's Leo Gitano got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Leo Gitano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Normando was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chacarita jrs's goalkeeper Celestino Vergaray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leo Gitano took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Normando. Remigio Normando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Chacarita jrs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
