In the 42nd minute of the game Benito Veremundo made a throw-in which Faustino Caetano played forward. 45 minutes into the game, Evaristo Berenguer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moscovi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RiverPlate the free kick. In the 47th minute, Wilfredo Liberto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moscovi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Liberto was the one to do the kick off. RiverPlate's Remigio Normando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save RiverPlate from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind RiverPlate's goalkeeper Remigio Normando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, RiverPlate's goalkeeper Remigio Normando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximino Castel. Erubiel Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Caetano in the 95th minute of the match. Moscovi were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over RiverPlate's much stronger midfield.
