An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Tiniebra in the 16th minute of play forced Argentinos del Norte's goalkeeper Erasmo Napier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, San Martin FC's Alonzo Ixidor got a free kick in the 20th minute. A collision led to Argentinos del Norte getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Valentin Gonzales hit a great ball. When San Martin FC's Celedonio Tiniebra in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentinos del Norte's goalkeeper Erasmo Napier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Quiroga having to interfere. Ismael Quiroga was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Joel Solustiano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Solustiano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 43 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when San Martin FC's Celedonio Tiniebra fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Celedonio Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Eusebio Mingo fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentinos del Norte's protests and gave Eusebio Mingo a yellow card for diving instead. San Martin FC's Ismael Quiroga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Solustiano in the 58th minute of play. Marcial Flor lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Argentinos del Norte. Jose Nafarroa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ismael Quiroga. 2-1. When Alonzo Ixidor fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Martin FC's protests and gave Alonzo Ixidor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Argentinos del Norte booed when San Martin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Ixidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Martin FC's Ismael Quiroga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Eguen in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Solustiano in the 73rd minute of play forced San Martin FC's goalkeeper Ismael Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Quiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Solustiano in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, San Martin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Solustiano came free, but Ismael Quiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Argentinos del Norte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. An annoying self made goal, 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the San Martin FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
