SPortivo Moretti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Loren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of SPortivo Moretti booed when Krabbé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Aliuta didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SPortivo Moretti getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Silvio Fonso hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes, Krabbé's Jimeno Maiorga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeledon Rivas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Krabbé reached it. Florentino Lorenz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Aliuta in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute Faustino Gelacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Rivas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Rivas made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when David Aliuta sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, David Aliuta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Zeledon Rivas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Silverio Ruisko in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Zeledon Rivas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Gelacio in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Rico Limon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Rivas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Gaztea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zeledon Rivas came out and tried to block the shot, but Ermegildo Gaztea slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rico Limon in the 47th minute of play forced SPortivo Moretti's goalkeeper Zeledon Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 51st minute, Rico Limon made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Rivas. SPortivo Moretti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 55 minutes into the match, David Aliuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Rivas. SPortivo Moretti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Aliuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Zeledon Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Gelacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. SPortivo Moretti's Zeledon Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Gelacio in the 73rd minute of play. Rico Limon took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Rivas. Zeledon Rivas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The audience was convinced that Rico Limon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Rivas was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Maldonado got free with Vinicio Palban in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 84 minutes of play, Krabbé's Faustino Gelacio made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Rivas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the match, David Aliuta notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of SPortivo Moretti's Zeledon Rivas. Zeledon Rivas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
