An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Galeno in the 17th minute of play forced Krabbé's goalkeeper Vinicio Palban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Krabbé's goalkeeper Vinicio Palban, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Ermegildo Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Unax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rico Limon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 minutes, David Aliuta made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Independiente's Ciro Unax tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eulalio Galeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Gelacio charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustino Gelacio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Faustino Gelacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Lisandro Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Palban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Godofredo Jayvier fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Godofredo Jayvier a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Jayvier. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eulalio Galeno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Unax came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Krabbé's Rico Limon. But to his dismay, Rico Limon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ciro Unax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Ruisko in the 59th minute of the match. If Lisandro Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimeno Maiorga was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Krabbé! In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Independiente. Carmelo Luzea stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vinicio Palban. 2-1. After 73 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Ayala. Ciro Unax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rico Limon in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute of the match Krabbé got a corner. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silverio Gentza ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Krabbé's Silverio Gentza to fire away a dangerous shot which Ciro Unax despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Faustino Gelacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Krabbé's Rico Limon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Unax made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 85 minutes into the match, Krabbé's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Aznaro came free, but Vinicio Palban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Aliuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ciro Unax tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rico Limon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Unax having to make a save. Fabricio Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Rico Limon came free, but Ciro Unax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Jeronimo Aznaro hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Krabbé had played much better football throughout.
