Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Edur came free, but Ciro Unax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Luzea during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Independiente's Ciro Unax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Cordeiro in the 43rd minute of play. Amancio Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedicto Joseph showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 94th minute, but Ciro Unax got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Independiente hanging dry this time. Alejandro Edur hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 97th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Luzea to maneuver through the defense. Entamoeba FC played a much better game than Independiente and deserved their victory. The Independiente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
