The referee ignored Clarke FC's protests and gave Samuel Izotz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Clarke FC's Samuel Izotz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvio Checa in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Carrizo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 played minutes Clarke FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Izotz. After having played for 72 minutes, Cornelio Asier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clarke FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Asier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute Cornelio Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Abecia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Silvio Checa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ACADEMICOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clarke FC the free kick. Florentino Abecia came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Clarke FC's Cornelio Asier. But to his dismay, Cornelio Asier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Cornelio Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Abecia having to interfere. After some careless play in the ACADEMICOS FC defense, Cornelio Asier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florentino Abecia. The ACADEMICOS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentino Abecia should have stopped the shot. Clarke FC's Samuel Izotz got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Samuel Izotz off the ground. The supporters of ACADEMICOS FC booed when Clarke FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
