The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Melchor Quintan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robustiano Herrera was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. When Omar Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Uturungo FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Gelacio in the 47th minute of play forced Uturungo FC's goalkeeper Saverio Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

With a little luck, Uturungo FC's Saverio Artal got control of the ball when Cristobal Tibalt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Melchor Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ricardo Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Robustiano Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Melchor Quintan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
