Joel Danel made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Cayetano Florin sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Santiago Seber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabi Arias was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Cayetano Florin made a precise shot to the right of Joel Danel. JmV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Gabino in the 10th minute of play forced JmV's goalkeeper Joel Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Gabriel Sanchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabi Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. JmV's Joel Danel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Gabino in the 13th minute of play. Gabi Arias came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by JmV's Gabriel Sanchez. But to his dismay, Gabriel Sanchez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of JmV booed when Sitón AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Tab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfredo Lizbeth kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, JmV's Leo Laffitte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabi Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Marciano Quilino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gabi Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Sitón AFC's Godfredo Lizbeth seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Godfredo Lizbeth the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sitón AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Godfredo Lizbeth had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Florentino Nalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Danel was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Cayetano Florin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cayetano Florin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 46 minutes into the match, Zeledon Gabino notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of JmV's Joel Danel. Joel Danel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cayetano Florin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sitón AFC booed when JmV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Laffitte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Florin's late challenge caught a JmV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Florin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sitón AFC's Cayetano Florin got a free kick in the 59th minute. Marciano Quilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Florin in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Danel saved JmV from getting behind. Santiago Seber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Gabi Arias made a huge save. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind JmV's goalkeeper Joel Danel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Danel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cayetano Florin went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Sitón AFC's Gabi Arias got control of the ball when Santiago Seber tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute Santiago Seber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabi Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabi Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Valente in the 76th minute of play. Gabi Arias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florentino Nalo in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute Hernan Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, JmV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Isias to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the game Natalio Lluciano made a throw-in which Isaac Valente played forward. 87 minutes into the game, Cayetano Florin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Joel Danel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sitón AFC had won after a very even match.
