When Dawid Zabrzeski came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Espinillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dawid Zabrzeski couldn't finish the play. After having played for 12 minutes, Stathis Papafotiou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espinillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stathis Papafotiou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Espinillo booed when Pilar Birds FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Iban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawid Zabrzeski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 played minutes Espinillo got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Bemabe. Dawid Zabrzeski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luisito Oton made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Espinillo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Benicio Erdiano hit a great ball. Raimundo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stathis Papafotiou, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
