When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hernan Mikeldi sped through Esperanza Maritima's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benigno Chico. Benigno Chico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Mikeldi's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Bernabe Mikelar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitricidas's Salvador Dominix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vitricidas from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Esperanza Maritima's Hilario Eneas got a free kick in the 26th minute. With his leg Salvador Dominix managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Esperanza Maritima's Hilario Eneas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Salvador Dominix successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th minute, Hernan Mikeldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vitricidas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 46th match minute, Esperanza Maritima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Eneas to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Vitricidas were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Vitricidas's Salvador Dominix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Abadia in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute Domingo Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romulo Remir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Dominix having to make a save. After 65 played minutes Vitricidas got a freekick which was hit by Abel Baudelio. Anibal Salomone hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Hernan Mikeldi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Vitricidas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Mikeldi couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Esperanza Maritima's Domingo Abadia got a free kick in the 78th minute. Salvador Dominix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Abadia, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Nicolas Sendoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Benigno Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Vitricidas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Esperanza Maritima throughout the match.
