In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esperanza Maritima's goalkeeper Benigno Chico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benigno Chico came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Eldorado AFC's Prudencio Cresconio. But to his dismay, Prudencio Cresconio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Prudencio Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Patxi in the 34th minute of play forced Esperanza Maritima's goalkeeper Benigno Chico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Eldorado AFC's Prudencio Cresconio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benigno Chico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Esperanza Maritima's Domingo Abadia got a free kick in the 40th minute. Benigno Chico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Cresconio in the 43rd minute of play. Benigno Chico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Celino, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Hilario Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Prudencio Cresconio made the kick off in the second half. If Danilo Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Dalmacio Patxi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benigno Chico having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Celino got free with Benigno Chico in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Prudencio Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benigno Chico made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Victoriano Celino sent off a good shot on target. Fulgencio Quinteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Eneas in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Esperanza Maritima's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Cresconio came free, but Benigno Chico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prudencio Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Benigno Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Eldorado AFC booed when Esperanza Maritima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Prudencio Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
