After 12 played minutes Atlético Sta. Clara got a freekick which was hit by Guido Matro. With his leg Aquiles Baldovino managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Muñano's Manuel Diaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maximino Lluterio struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Aquiles Baldovino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muñano. Generoso Erlantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Oskarbi in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Muñano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Oidor to maneuver through the defense. Aquiles Baldovino had great luck who in the 24thth minute grab hold of the ball when Manuel Diaz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 24th match minute, Atlético Sta. Clara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Oskarbi to maneuver through the defense. When Kryspin Kopacz came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Muñano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kryspin Kopacz couldn't finish the play. Atlético Sta. Clara's Aquiles Baldovino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Diaz in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Maximino Lluterio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muñano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Lluterio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Kryspin Kopacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manuel Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Artaldo in the 45th minute of play forced Muñano's goalkeeper Generoso Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elvio Tadzio to strike the kick off in the second half. Generoso Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Tadzio in the 52nd minute of the match. Clara's goal looked a bit too open when Kryspin Kopacz came free, but Aquiles Baldovino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muñano were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
