Alvaro Senen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luis Cresconio came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Sape FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Cresconio couldn't finish the play. In the 24thth minute of the game Luis Cresconio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CAJA lechuzo's Jim Gabrielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severiano Escobar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jim Gabrielsson. CAJA lechuzo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to CAJA lechuzo getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Primitivo Etxepare hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, CAJA lechuzo's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Cresconio came free, but Jim Gabrielsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Luis Cresconio put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jim Gabrielsson. Hector Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Israel Abadie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CAJA lechuzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sape FC the free kick. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CAJA lechuzo! Jim Gabrielsson had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Luis Cresconio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Samuel Bikendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jim Gabrielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CAJA lechuzo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Honorato Pietro hit a great ball. Hector Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Cresconio to make the kick off. With a little luck, CAJA lechuzo's Jim Gabrielsson got control of the ball when Severiano Escobar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sape FC's Luis Cresconio got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Edelmiro Leheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Liberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Senen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sape FC's Samuel Bikendi got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jim Gabrielsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Cresconio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Cresconio in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Gabrielsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. CAJA lechuzo's Jim Gabrielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Escobar in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Luis Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sape FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Cresconio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
