Spectators: 7395 (Terracing: 5547, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 147) Sarmiento's Anier Totakoxe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ME VOY AL MAZO booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Lucila didn't get a good kick on the ball. ME VOY AL MAZO's Armando Lohitzun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Virgilio Benvido but with some difficulty. The throw-in from Lisandro Xabel in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sarmiento's German Lucila. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anier Totakoxe in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Cordarin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Tipi in the 11th minute of play forced ME VOY AL MAZO's goalkeeper Ildefonso Cordarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sarmiento fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Sarmiento's Anier Totakoxe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. ME VOY AL MAZO's Ildefonso Cordarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Tipi in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Paolo Farias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Cordarin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernando Gasteiz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ildefonso Cordarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anier Totakoxe, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Anier Totakoxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Cordarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sarmiento getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Edgardo Cristofor hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Orlo in the 31st minute of play forced Sarmiento's goalkeeper Virgilio Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anier Totakoxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sarmiento's Anier Totakoxe in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ME VOY AL MAZO's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute, German Lucila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Milian hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind ME VOY AL MAZO's goalkeeper Ildefonso Cordarin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Sarmiento's Virgilio Benvido got control of the ball when Agustin Milian tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Sarmiento were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Anier Totakoxe came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Sarmiento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Totakoxe couldn't finish the play. When Nikolaus Türk fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento's protests and gave Nikolaus Türk a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sarmiento getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nikolaus Türk hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Anier Totakoxe sped through ME VOY AL MAZO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ildefonso Cordarin. ME VOY AL MAZO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Anier Totakoxe scored to the left of an out of position Ildefonso Cordarin, making the score, 0-3. After 68th play minutes Anier Totakoxe shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Ildefonso Cordarin and just under the crossbar into goal. Sarmiento's Ovidio Bermund was substituted for Anier Totakoxe. 74 minutes into the match, Ovidio Bermund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ildefonso Cordarin. ME VOY AL MAZO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovidio Bermund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 80th minute, Octavio Firme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Orlo in the 83rd minute of play. A hard shot 85 in the game by Ovidio Bermund from a close distance when the talented Ildefonso Cordarin managed to make a qualified save. ME VOY AL MAZO's players were relieved. Ovidio Bermund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ildefonso Cordarin made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, ME VOY AL MAZO's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Bermund came free, but Ildefonso Cordarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
