Anier Totakoxe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Danilo Madeo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Tipi in the 24th minute of play forced SALE OFF's goalkeeper Danilo Madeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sarmiento's Virgilio Benvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Ruy in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Alfonso Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SALE OFF booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Bermund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Alfonso Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Anier Totakoxe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SALE OFF's Danilo Madeo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SALE OFF's zone, Anier Totakoxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Madeo came out of the goal and Anier Totakoxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Alejandro Bautista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SALE OFF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Ruy made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Sarmiento's Patricio Tipi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Madeo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anier Totakoxe in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Madeo saved SALE OFF from getting behind. Anier Totakoxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Madeo having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Sarmiento got a freekick which was hit by Nikolaus Türk. Sarmiento made a substitution. Feliciano Fidele replaced Eustaquio Presebal. If Edgardo Cristofor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Anier Totakoxe made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. SALE OFF's Danilo Madeo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Patricio Tipi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Danilo Madeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Patricio Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Tipi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
