After some careless play in the Atlas defense, Donato Musko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Semen Litavrin. The Atlas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Semen Litavrin should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of Atlas booed when Profundidad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Martxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes Anastasio Tauro rounded Profundidad's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaston Bizen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonel Chinto. That made the score 2-4 in the 77 minute of play. Baldomero Tono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Donato Musko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Profundidad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. When the final whistle sounded Atlas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Profundidad.
