The Palermo Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Eriz should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Roman Frasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Eriz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Felipe Serafo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justino Ordono read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Florencio Sotero fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Palermo Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Evarado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 85 minutes, Claudio Efren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo Futbol Club and the Abbott AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudio Efren hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute of the match Samuel Jatsu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Eriz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 96thth minute of the game Felipe Serafo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbott AFC's Justino Ordono was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Abbott AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
