The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Neanderthal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Florin to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Benjamin Florin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Pim Pero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinicio Modestio. Deportivo Norte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pim Pero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Neanderthal's Virgilio Lugo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Pim Pero lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Vinicio Modestio. Israel Gartzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pim Pero came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Neanderthal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pim Pero couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bonifacio Abarca was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Deportivo Norte defense, Pim Pero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinicio Modestio. The Deportivo Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinicio Modestio should have stopped the shot. Eloy Rafel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neanderthal made a substitution. Lino Liher replaced Pim Pero. Benjamin Florin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Neanderthal made a substitution. Isaac Lehen replaced Romulo Bladi. Julian Egoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Abarca in the 72nd minute of play. Vinicio Modestio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Liher, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Lino Liher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Modestio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Norte's zone, Lino Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Modestio came out of the goal and Lino Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Liher in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Modestio saved Deportivo Norte from getting behind. After 94 minutes of play, Neanderthal's Lino Liher made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinicio Modestio was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Neanderthal were the better team. Neanderthal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
