Anton Bolshoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Erdiano having to interfere. If Anton Bolshoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonifacio Erdiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Ladra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Chorache in the 21st minute of play forced Independiente Rivadavia's goalkeeper Cristian Campestrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ravioles Locos's Rolando Chorache got a free kick in the 25th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Roberto Gitano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Independiente Rivadavia's Cristian Campestrini. Cristian Campestrini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luca Langoni was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Gitano in the 52nd minute of play forced Independiente Rivadavia's goalkeeper Cristian Campestrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente Rivadavia's Luca Langoni got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Jorge Luzaide dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Campestrini, 1-2. In the 95th minute, Cesar Loiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Independiente Rivadavia lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
