The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Txindoki got free with Baldomero Gilabert in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomero Gilabert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anier Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes of play, Flori FC's Lou Dempsey made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sidney Ashford was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diego Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guascan AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flori FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Silvio Mincho made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Silvio Mincho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidney Ashford was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Sidney Ashford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lou Dempsey went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the match, Flori FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Rios came free, but Baldomero Gilabert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Silvio Mincho struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Sidney Ashford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flori FC. Baldomero Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Fernanco in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Silvio Mincho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flori FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Mincho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Diego Fernanco came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Guascan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Fernanco couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 79 in the game by Silvio Mincho from a close distance when the talented Sidney Ashford managed to make a qualified save. Guascan AFC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Silvio Mincho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flori FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Mincho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Ashford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Guascan AFC booed when Flori FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Chano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gust Vanden Bussche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
