Deportivo Bien Fria's Jose Marquez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teo Xabel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Deportivo Bien Fria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PINTI FUTBOL CLUB the free kick. In the 45th minute, Rolando Bero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristobal Araoz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonzo Lauaxeta to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Bero in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Piorno saved Deportivo Bien Fria from getting behind. The supporters of PINTI FUTBOL CLUB booed when Deportivo Bien Fria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Lleir didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Florencio Gartzea in the 69th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Humberto Piorno's left hand side. Humberto Piorno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Bero in the 71st minute of play. After 93 played minutes, PINTI FUTBOL CLUB's Felipe Guerrero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Piorno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PINTI FUTBOL CLUB reached it. If Alonzo Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
