After having played for 13 minutes, Benjamin Ekain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Tres Niñas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Ekain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Baraquiel made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Fabio Lehior sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Rico in the 17th minute of play forced Las Tres Niñas's goalkeeper Hugo Baraquiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Ekain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmelo Ihazintu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play.
