With an all-out effort, Rueda's Albano Txeru threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lázaro Rufo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Leandro Llope managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rueda's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Llope was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Txeru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lázaro Rufo got free with Albano Txeru in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damian Segio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in La Toronja Carpintera's zone, Lázaro Rufo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Txeru came out of the goal and Lázaro Rufo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Viviano during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Rueda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Viviano to maneuver through the defense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Medina to strike the kick off in the second half. If Gilberto Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Rufo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Txeru having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Domingo Peruxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Toronja Carpintera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Peruxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albano Txeru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Albano Txeru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Abechuco in the 84th minute of the match. Albano Txeru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Rufo's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 90th match minute, La Toronja Carpintera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Xabier to maneuver through the defense. Rueda were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after La Toronja Carpintera's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armando Herauso took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Abechuco in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albano Txeru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damian Segio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Medina in the 99th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Toronja Carpintera walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
