Spectators: 7330 (Terracing: 5499, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lázaro Rufo started the match with the kick off. After 11 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Cristian Guillelmus made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Segio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Guillelmus in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damian Segio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Lázaro Rufo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Matxin came out of the goal and Lázaro Rufo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Gilberto Abechuco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando Matxin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rueda's Armando Herauso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orlando Matxin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Guillelmus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Abechuco in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Matxin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lázaro Rufo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Orlando Matxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 54 minutes Boca Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armando Herauso who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Rueda's corner Armando Herauso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlando Matxin quite easily take care of the ball. Orlando Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Gilberto Abechuco struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Orlando Matxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rueda. If Gilberto Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Rufo succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 69 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Rufo came free, but Orlando Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rueda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando Herauso in the 72nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Armando Herauso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Orlando Matxin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Boca Juniors's Orlando Matxin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Rufo in the 75th minute of play. Orlando Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gilberto Abechuco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Rufo in the 85th minute of the match. Gilberto Abechuco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 88th playminute. 92 minutes into the game, Angel Jaunti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rueda the free kick. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Angel Jaunti got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute of the match Rueda got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Armando Herauso ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rueda's Armando Herauso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orlando Matxin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rueda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
