La Whoneta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Leonardo Hodei came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arturo Juvenal could save by the left post. The supporters of La Whoneta booed when C. A. Unión was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Miguel Rosalio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arturo Juvenal. Arturo Juvenal was a little too slow when Ermegildo Macario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 3-1. The supporters of La Whoneta booed when C. A. Unión was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Domeka didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Laureano Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unión's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Miguel Rosalio scored to the left of an out of position Arturo Juvenal, making the score, 4-1. When Ezequiel Gizon came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the C. A. Unión fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Gizon couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ezequiel Gizon made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Silvanito during the 51st minute. Marteinn Birkisson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
