Hilario Solustiano came out of the goal and Armando Sugar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Zarate es CADU defense, Sérgio Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Saturnin. The Zarate es CADU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Saturnin should have stopped the shot. Amancio Saturnin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Câmara, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Hickmann booed when Zarate es CADU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hickmann's zone, Edelmiro Feliz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Solustiano came out of the goal and Edelmiro Feliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the game, Zarate es CADU's Edelmiro Feliz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Solustiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 45th minute of the match Everardo Ganix shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hilario Solustiano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edelmiro Feliz to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Sugar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Solustiano having to make a save. 61 minutes into the game, Zarate es CADU's Edelmiro Feliz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Solustiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Padro in the 72nd minute of play forced Hickmann's goalkeeper Hilario Solustiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hickmann's Baldomero Leizarraga got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Edelmiro Feliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilario Solustiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ciro Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hickmann's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Ongile was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Saturnin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Ongile's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amancio Saturnin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Hickmann's Hilario Solustiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Feliz in the 85th minute of play. If Edelmiro Feliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Ciro Ongile hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes Zarate es CADU got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Oliviero. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
