The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Billinghurst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Pio to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Solustiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Pio in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match, Baldomero Leizarraga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulises Hulberto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baldomero Leizarraga struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ulises Hulberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hickmann. In the 16th minute, Gilberto Telo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Javier Barrionuevo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hickmann's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Barrionuevo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Hulberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Billinghurst's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Gotzon came free, but Ulises Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Telo during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 23 minutes into the game, Ciro Ongile cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hickmann's Hilario Solustiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Beat in the 43rd minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Billinghurst's goalkeeper Ulises Hulberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Azevedo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Javier Barrionuevo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ulises Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosendo Artaldo during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hickmann's Rosendo Artaldo got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Hickmann's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Telo came free, but Hilario Solustiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulises Hulberto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Ongile went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Billinghurst defense, Ciro Ongile kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulises Hulberto. The Billinghurst fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulises Hulberto should have stopped the shot. Bernardino Sal kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Jesus Nafarroa put in a rough tackle. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Hickmann. Sérgio Azevedo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ulises Hulberto. 5-1. In the 90th minute Sérgio Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Hulberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Ongile's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Billinghurst's goalkeeper Ulises Hulberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Ongile in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulises Hulberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Hickmann were the better team. Hickmann's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
