Amadeo Barea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 7 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Oso came free, but Amadeo Barea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Catamarca's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adolfo Mederi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 15 minutes into the match, Federico Lluciano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Barea. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Lluciano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 20th minute, Amadeo Oso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeo Barea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. River Plate's Amadeo Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Oso in the 22nd minute of play. If Maximo Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Barea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeo Oso went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Gonzalez during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, Samuel Gonzalez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Catamarca's Julian Quexal got a free kick in the 40th minute. Amadeo Barea came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Catamarca's Amadeo Oso. But to his dismay, Amadeo Oso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeo Oso to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Federico Lluciano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amadeo Barea, 0-6. Federico Lluciano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Catamarca's Claudinho Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Ostots in the 59th minute of play. Claudinho Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Indar in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Catamarca's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Urdaspal came free, but Claudinho Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Catamarca's zone, Teofilo Urdaspal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Quadros came out of the goal and Teofilo Urdaspal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teofilo Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Quadros having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Amadeo Oso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catamarca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Oso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Amadeo Barea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Oso. With an all-out effort, Catamarca's Amadeo Barea threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Federico Lluciano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Federico Lluciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Barea came out of the goal and Federico Lluciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Barea made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Amadeo Oso sent off a good shot on target.
