In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariano Moreno's goalkeeper Christian Jobo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Moreno's Eustacio Arnau got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruperto Venceslas's late challenge caught a Mariano Moreno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Venceslas helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Club Sol de Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Venceslas. In the 25th match minute, Club Sol de Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Abadia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mariano Moreno's zone, Zacarias Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Jobo came out of the goal and Zacarias Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Delmiro Amor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 played minutes Mariano Moreno got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Arnau. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Amor in the 44th minute of play forced Mariano Moreno's goalkeeper Christian Jobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Zacarias Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Delmiro Amor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eustacio Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Jobo having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Delmiro Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Sol de Mayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmiro Amor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Sol de Mayo played a much better game than Mariano Moreno and deserved their victory. The Mariano Moreno players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
