Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jimeno Leocadio started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Carpintería AFC booed when Catúa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carpintería AFC's Baltasar Florinio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Mero in the 5th minute of play. Jimeno Leocadio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Batista having to interfere. If Jimeno Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Donato Alfonso notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Carpintería AFC's Baltasar Florinio. Baltasar Florinio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Generoso Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vladimiro Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Frisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Vladimiro Batista made a huge save. In the 40th minute Marcos Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Florinio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match, Jimeno Leocadio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vladimiro Batista was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jimeno Leocadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Mero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Joel Jakes made a precise shot to the right of Baltasar Florinio. Carpintería AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Nicanor Checa kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jimeno Leocadio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 minutes of play, Carpintería AFC's Ezequiel Fernado made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Batista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimeno Leocadio in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimiro Batista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimiro Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Leocadio in the 65th minute of play. If Jimeno Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catúa's Vladimiro Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Lluques in the 68th minute of play. Tadeo Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Marcos Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Florinio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Catúa's Hector Erruki got a free kick in the 77th minute. Tadeo Lluques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vladimiro Batista. Catúa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Leocadio in the 81st minute of play forced Catúa's goalkeeper Vladimiro Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Leocadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Leocadio scored 2-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimiro Batista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jimeno Leocadio struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Vladimiro Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpintería AFC. Tadeo Lluques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Vladimiro Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeo Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimiro Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Leocadio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Blas Suero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vladimiro Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Jimeno Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Carpintería AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Catúa to win.
