Xv underground's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Mendebal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Primitivo Iago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colipulli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Primitivo Iago made the kick off in the second half. If Toni Oravainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. Denis Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Colipulli got a freekick which was hit by Teo Aragones. If Leo Weterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leonides Mendebal came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Xv underground fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Mendebal couldn't finish the play. Denis Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Oravainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Mendebal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Abreu having to interfere. There was no doubt that Xv underground were the better team. Xv underground's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
