Yofré AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Petri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aaron Claude's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doru Preda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Sigve Angelsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Carioca having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Sigve Angelsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alessandro Carioca. Yofré AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sigve Angelsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Alessandro Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doru Preda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Rios in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Evaggelos Iasonidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alessandro Carioca was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. If Evaggelos Iasonidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the match, Yofré AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Ramirez came free, but Alessandro Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41st play minutes Evaggelos Iasonidis shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Alessandro Carioca and just under the crossbar into goal. After 44 minutes, Florentino Romo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate de VicenteLóp and the Yofré AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florentino Romo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, Yofré AFC's Alessandro Carioca got control of the ball when Evaggelos Iasonidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Alessandro Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Ramirez in the 53rd minute of the match. Filomeno Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doru Preda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Azeari in the 59th minute of the match. Carlos Azeari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doru Preda having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Evaggelos Iasonidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alessandro Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaggelos Iasonidis in the 70th minute of play forced Yofré AFC's goalkeeper Alessandro Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, River Plate de VicenteLóp's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Rios came free, but Doru Preda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Lopes hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Yofré AFC's Alessandro Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigve Angelsen in the 76th minute of play. When Carlos Azeari fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yofré AFC's protests and gave Carlos Azeari a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Azeari kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Prudencio Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filomeno Lopes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alessandro Carioca. Yofré AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yofré AFC's Alessandro Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Ramirez in the 82nd minute of play. During the 86th minute of the match Florentino Romo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Florentino Romo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Yofré AFC booed when River Plate de VicenteLóp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Romo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doru Preda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Azeari in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes River Plate de VicenteLóp got a freekick which was hit by Sigve Angelsen. Carlos Azeari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doru Preda having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River Plate de VicenteLóp had played much better football throughout.
